Is it possible for me to train in my area?
Most of AZ Driving’s training is conducted locally, though occasionally it will be held in a location that works for both parties. We frequently suggest that you train in the same location as your practical exams. Keep in mind that the course is not full-time, and you will spend some time studying at home because we accommodate your other obligations.
Is there anything more I should budget for?
The cost of your DVSA exams and your license applications, whether they are green or pink (ADI or PDI), will be borne by you, just like in any other driving instructor training course. There is a fee equal to three hours of the local hourly rate if you need to use a specialized training vehicle for your test. The fee covers the attendance of a trainer who can offer assistance with any last-minute drills or advice.
Will the training work with my family or work commitments?
Yes. We make every effort to take into account your availability, ability, and current work or family obligations when scheduling your training. Even though the DVSA exams are administered during the week, this may involve training on a Saturday if needed.
Is Saturday training possible?
We can set up most of your training to happen on a Saturday if you would like. (Depending on availability.)
If I fail any of the three qualifying tests, what will happen?
We will provide you with all the assistance you require, and we advise you to speak with your training officer to determine how prepared you are for each test.
You have three attempts at parts two and three (DVSA test fees apply), and you can take the part one exam as many times as you like (with the exception of Northern Ireland, where you have three attempts). According to DVSA regulations, you will not be allowed to retake any exams for two years after passing part one if you are unfortunate enough to fail on your third try.

Do I have to work as early as I am eligible?
No. Some people work full-time jobs while they train, gradually increasing their driving instruction hours on a part-time basis until they have enough to quit their current job.
Do full-time driving instructors who work more than 40 hours a week see 40 people a week?
We recommend that students attend 120-minute classes. In light of this, a full-time teacher using AZ Driving will only need to see about 20 students each week. There will need to be travel time in between classes. We urge clients to utilize our block-booking feature, which keeps students dedicated to their teacher.
What is the time frame for becoming a driving instructor?
Although there are a few factors to take into account when estimating how long it might take you to pass, you can generally anticipate finishing the training in six to nine months.
First of all, how fast you progress through the program will depend on how much time and effort you can devote. Your progress through the course may also be impacted by certain uncontrollable events, like your DBS approval and the availability of DVSA exam dates. But we will be there for you at every turn.
Is the need for driving instructors still present?
Professional driving instructors who can provide outstanding customer service and prepare their students for test-taking are constantly in high demand. One of the biggest driving schools in the UK, AZ Driving School, has doubled in size due to an unheard-of increase in the number of students learning to drive with them.
Driving instruction is more than just educating student drivers; it offers a multitude of employment options. Many instructors decide to expand their careers into fields including fleet training, driver re-education, and specialized markets.
